Are your expectations Met or Unmet? Have your expectations been Spoken or Unspoken?
Research shows that when you have clearly defined, well-communicated expectations, you will be happier and more successful than people whose expectations go unspoken or unrealized. Whether you are working with a team, transitioning to a new job, or simply making the most of your daily routine you share a common goal with your employer: you both want to make it work!
Whether spoken or unspoken, a "psychological contract" of needs and expectations exists between employees and employers that affects job satisfaction and performance. The Work Expectations Profile provides a framework to help employees and managers understand and discuss these needs and expectations.
