Holiday Shopping in Style . . .
Add "People Reading" to your people watching while you're shopping this year.
Recognize the high "D" while shopping:
The High D will be fast, active and outgoing while shopping. They will be goal oriented . . . they know what they want and will go for it - in an out of stores in record time. Crowds, waiting in line, parking and traffic jams are not their cup of Christmas Cheer. Gift certificates may be just the ticket for efficient D styles.
Recognize the high "i" while shopping:
The high "i" will make shopping an event . . . they will shop in herds . . . it's more fun that way. The more the merrier. They will want to meet friends at the food court for coffee and treats . . . and they will gather in spell bound alertness for glittering displays. Their emotions will dictate their purchases . . . some impulse shopping may result in gifts for themselves as well as others. The trendier the gift the better - bath items, candles and music top their list.
Recognize the high "S" while shopping:
The high "S" styles won't be as visible at the mall. They got their shopping done last July. Instead of fighting the crowds and the rush, they may sooner be home baking holiday treats for family and friends. Their gifts will have been purchased from trusted stores during sale times. Their gifts will be reliable favorites, not trendy in any way.
Recognize the high "C" while shopping:
The High "C" Will have done a lot of research and comparison shopping to insure they get the highest quality for the lowest price. They may have done all their shopping online right after thanksgiving. They will weigh the cost of extended warranties and future repairs. You might see them in specialty shops gathering their last minute item. They'll be back for after Christmas bargains too.
And while you're playing Santa . . . a DiSC Profile might fit the bill for that special someone.
